Risks and Actions

It is important to know that the region is not so urbanized therefore the rescue structure is precarious (lifeguards, emergency). Despite the experience of the rider, it is essential to do everything simply and safely. Avoid jumping and risky maneuvers. Follow the guides, stay with the group and have a nice and safe trip.

Risks and Actions:
Lost rider This situation is prevented because we have a front guide and two tail guides keeping the group. If you get lost, go to the beach and ask for any help. Each rider will receive some map with instructions about the route.
Kite problem  (bladder, lines, rips) If possible, go to the shore. If the kite is not controllable, release the kite. If possible, try sel frescue maneuver. If you released the kite, keep calm and try to swim to the shore. A guide or another rider may help you.
Tangle kite Keep calm and do not immediately release your safety. If both kites are under control, hold the kites low to the water, unhook your leashes and try to solve the problem. If either kite is not controllable, BOTH kites need to be released.
Rocks and cuts If you fall into rock area, hold the kite in neutral position (push the bar) and try to get out in the better way. Go to the shore to evaluate the injuries. Always follow the guides because they know the risks areas.
Fractures The kiteboarder must keep calm. If possible, use the kite to arrive to the shore or hold the kite to float (self rescue maneuver). On the shore, the kiteboarder may wait the guides that will decide how to proceed (call emergency, call the support car, etc).
Warning If you want to assist another kiteboarder, only do that if you are sure you can. If you are not, just stay around and try to call the guide.
